Privacy
KJoy is the controller of the personal data described here.
What we collect
To quote a journey: the two postcodes, the date and time, and how many passengers and bags. None of that identifies you.
To take a booking: your name, email address and telephone number, your flight number if you give one, and any note you add for the driver.
We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not ask for a password.
Why, and on what basis
To perform the contract you entered into — quoting, confirming, arranging a driver, and dealing with changes or a refund. Keeping the record of the journey afterwards is a legal obligation under our operator licence.
Who it reaches
The company that drives you. Where we sub-contract, the operator and driver receive what they need to collect you: your name, your contact number, the addresses and the flight number. They do not receive what you paid us.
Services we use to run the site. Postcode lookup and route distances are calculated through third-party services from our server; those services receive postcodes, never your name. Email is sent through a mail provider. Our servers are in Germany, operated by Hetzner.
We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
A booking record — including the driver and vehicle particulars — has to exist before the journey begins and be retained afterwards, because our operator licence requires it. We keep the record for as long as that obligation and our tax obligations require, and no longer.
Nothing is deleted by cancelling: a cancelled booking stays as a cancelled booking, for the same reason.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to erase it where we are not required to keep it. If you are not satisfied with our answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
